I grew up going to the lovely beaches of North Carolina. I started making things from shells at an early age, my patient parents allowing me to fill jars with everything from sharks teeth to sea glass.  It's hard to stop collecting when you see everything that washes up as beautiful in it's own way.
This piece is made from a well worn shell piece that the sea has turned into a unique piece of art.  I collected this from Emerald Isle, NC in August of 2021.
I have used tin/copper wire and threaded it through the holes that time and ocean tumbling have created.  The natual beauty of the shell shows through, enhanced just a little with the waves of the wire.
I hope this pendant reminds you that time changes all of us in beautiful and unique ways, and perhaps brings you a sweet memory of your trips to the sea.
